COA Flounder Tourney Winners 2006

Results for the The Clean Ocean Action Flounder Tournament 2006 1st prize went to Tony Wojciechowski of Edison with an outstanding 2.63 pound flounder that was taken in the Navesink and was also the only flattie that was noticed which had not yet spawned out. The weight of the eggs made the difference! Following closely in 2nd place was Hi-Mar’s own Billy Dowd of South River who captured his 2.23 pound beauty in the river (as far as I could tell, all of the nicer fish were found in the rivers), and rounding out the top 3 was Gene Bradford of Rumson at 2.15 pounds. All finalist won some cash and some Great Gift Cards thanks to West Marine. They had over 150 people registered for the free tournament
