COA FREE FLOUNDER TOURNEY 2005
 
This years Clean Ocean Flounder Tournament kicked off another season in the usual early Srping fashion. This is always a rain or shine event and there is no entry fee, some years bring more fish to the scales than others. Due to the cold, windy, rainy weather, only a few ventured out, but those that did and weighed in were rewarded. The annual event held at Bahrs Landing, was run by Derry Bennet the president of COA, he worked the scale as 4 entrants were able to vie for $500.00 in prize money.
The winners (picture is attached) of COA's 11th Annual John Murphy and Bob Hunter Memorial Flounder Tournament are below.
 
1st place - Gene Bradford, 28 Shrewsbury Dr, Rumson, NJ 07760, 2.17lbs (He won last year as well! He also walked out with various beer and wine prizes. Okay, who knows him on our Committee and set this one up?)
2nd place - Robert Madej, 229 Elizabeth Ave, Iselin, NJ 08830, 2.11lbs
3rd place - Tom Rummell, 114 Morningside Ave, Middletown, NJ 07748, 1.94lbs
